    170811-N-AZ808-141 PACIFIC OCEAN (August 11, 2017) – Quartermaster Seaman Apprentice Alexandra Rushing, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Halsey (DDG 97), mans a M240 machine gun during a show of force transit exercise with the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group (TRCSG). Halsey is currently underway conducting a Composite Training Unit Exercise (COMPTUEX) with TRCSG in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests a carrier strike group’s mission-readiness and ability to perform as an integrated unit through simulated real-world scenarios.
