The image shows two visitors viewing San Diego Bay from a vantage point near an informational placard titled 'San Diego: Birthplace of Naval Aviation - Evolution of the Aircraft Carrier 1924-1940.' In the background, a large aircraft carrier and other naval vessels are docked at what appears to be Naval Base San Diego, with a small motorboat creating a wake across the harbor. The scene combines historical interpretation with a live view of active naval operations.
