The NATO missile launcher is part of an air defense weapon system that holds eight Evolved Sea Sparrow Missiles. “I like that I get to work with weapons systems every day,” said Pearson. “I know we are an important line of defense for the ship.” Ronald Reagan, the Carrier Strike Group Five (CSG 5) flagship, is on patrol in the Philippine Sea supporting security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
