Staff Sgt. Matthew Tucker, a military engineer with the 10th Engineer Battalion, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, uses a heavy excavator to fill a trench at Mihail Kogalniceanu air base, Romania on August 9, 2016 during Operation Resolute Castle. To complete the construction project, these service members removed berms, bunkers, trees, concrete pads, and a concrete trench. Soldiers with the U.S. Army worked hand-in-hand with military engineers from the Romanian Land Forces to pave the way for multi-million-dollar construction on the air base. (U.S. Army photo by Capt.
