Marines stand in formation awaiting the 3rd Marine Logistics Group sergeant major post, relief and retirement ceremony June 20 at the Surfside on Camp Kinser. Sgt. Maj. Tamara L. Fode transferred authority to Sgt. Maj. Michael J. Hendges. Fode, a Hazelton, North Dakota, native, has been married to Sgt. Maj. Rick L. Fode for 19 years, and both retired from the Marine Corps during the ceremony. Rick L. Fode was the sergeant major of Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron, Marine Corps Air Station Futenma. Each served for more than 20 years in the Marine Corps.
