Jason Cramer, from Mariposa, Calif., of 1st Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, with the Bronze Stare Medal, with V-Device Sept. 28 for bravery under fire during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Cramer's unit was securing the area so that a district advisory committee could meet when they came under attack by hand grenades and small arms fire. Military Records indicate that Cramer, while under fire, helped a injured soldier and ran 200 meters to link up with an Iraqi Army platoon to help organize an attack against the anti-Iraqi forces(U.S. Army photo by Staff Sgt.
