Immediate Response
Immediate Response is a multinational exercise, co-led by the Croatian Armed Forces, Slovenian Armed Forces and U.S. Army Europe, taking place at various locations throughout the host nations of Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia. Immediate Response is a multinational exercise, co-led by the Croatian Armed Forces, Slovenian Armed Forces and U.S. Army Europe, taking place at various locations throughout the host nations of Croatia, Hungary and Slovenia. The exercise is designed to improve readiness and interoperability among participating allied and partner nations integrated into a multinational battalion.
Immediate Response includes participants from 15 nations including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, Lithuania, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Slovenia and the United Kingdom. U.S. participants include U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force active duty, Reserve and National Guard units deployed to Europe in support of Atlantic Resolve and U.S. Army Europe based Soldiers.
The overall objective of Immediate Response is for NATO allies and partner nations to conduct combined theater opening activities (Reception, Staging and Onward Movement), conduct integration into a multinational units, increase interoperability and enhance freedom of movement. Highlights of Immediate Response normally include airborne jumps, air assaults, convoy operations, troop movements and medical training. show less
