Abraham Lincoln's Engineering Department continues to attain early shipyard milestones
USS Abraham Lincoln's (CVN 72) Engineering Department, completed the certification process to enable a portion of the ship's collection, holding and transfer (CHT) system operational this July at Newport News Shipbuilding in Newport News, Virginia.

USS John C. Stennis Sailors begin major exercise
Nearly 10,000 Sailors from the John C. Stennis Strike Group (JCSSG), also known as Carrier Strike Group 3, are underway off the coast of Southern California, beginning the final phase of pre-deployment certifications: Composite Training Unit Exercise / Joint Task Force Exercise (COMPTUEX/JTFEX). This exercise, which will increase in difficulty the further along they get, will test the crews of JCSSG’s elements on their ability to operate as a strike group by running through various simulations based on real-world surface, air, undersea, strike and electronic attack scenarios.

NMCB 4 Sailors assist Seabee Museum with new exhibit
From the sandy beaches of Midway Island during World War II to the deserts of Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Seabees have built and fought around the world. The Seabee history is passed on so future generations of Americans will know the contributions and sacrifices these brave Sailors have made for their country.
