The 1438 Multi-Role Bridge Company (MRBC), Missouri Army National Guard, assumed responsibility from the 2225th Multi-Role Bridge Company, Louisiana Army National Guard on Sept. 3, 2013. Their transfer of authority ceremony took place in front of an audience of 100 soldiers from Task Force SAW and Camp Leatherneck. This is a significant transition because 2225th MRBC is the singular bridge company operating in Afghanistan.
