In an effort to boost military readiness and operational capacity, the Missouri Air National Guard’s 139th Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) assisted in improves an aircraft ramp at Yokota Air Base, Japan, as part of a deployment for training (DFT) event on June 10, 2024. The unit spent two weeks on the project which will eventually accommodate 10 C-130J Super Hercules aircraft.
The 1438 Multi-Role Bridge Company (MRBC), Missouri Army National Guard, assumed responsibility from the 2225th Multi-Role Bridge Company, Louisiana Army National Guard on Sept. 3, 2013. Their transfer of authority ceremony took place in front of an audience of 100 soldiers from Task Force SAW and Camp Leatherneck. This is a significant transition because 2225th MRBC is the singular bridge company operating in Afghanistan.
