The solemn tolling of a bell echoed across the grounds of Camp Zama’s Yano Field. Soldiers and community members of the U.S. Army in Japan were there, standing together in a moment of silence during the 9/11 “Workout to Remember,” hosted by U.S. Army Garrison Japan.
Participants then moved through nine fitness stations and completed 11 reps of each exercise before running two laps around the Yano Field track, approximately 2,001 steps.
Twenty-five years have passed since that tragic day, yet we will always remember and continue to pay tribute to those who lost their lives.
