IA2 Marines conduct drone exploitation in support of CUAS exercise
IA2 Marines from 2D Intel Bn analyze unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) during a forensics exercise, May 19, 2025. Employing the Forensic Dominance System – Marine Corps (FDS-MC), IA2 Marines examined the UAS collecting location data, biometrics, flight log and other information to help determine the origins and personnel associated with the device.
The Marine Corps' efforts in forensic exploitation of UAS are a critical component of their Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) strategy. Dynamis Serial 003 took place from January 26 to February 6 in conjunction with the Army’s Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) Ivy Sting IV event led by the U.S. Army 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado.
