Lt. Col. Lawrence Assumes Command of the 433rd Force Support Squadron

Lt. Col. Clayton Lawrence assumed command of the 433rd Force Support Squadron during a change of command ceremony here, Nov. 7, 2025.

Col. Jeremy Patrick, 433rd Mission Support Group commander, presided over the ceremony and presented the 433rd FSS guidon to Lawrence, symbolizing the transfer of authority.

Patrick offered opening remarks ahead of the change of command. “When you think about it, the FSS is one of the most important jobs in the Air Force,” said Patrick. “It’s also one of the toughest, and one of the most rewarding.”

The 433rd Force Support Squadron supports food services, lodging activities, recreation and physical fitness programs, laundry, linen exchange, field exchange operations and mortuary affairs activities at base facilities. This squadron coordinates with higher headquarters for mobility and training requirements, and assists with making team assignments.

Lawrence expressed gratitude to his family, leadership, and addressed the Airmen of the squadron. “To the men and women of the 433rd FSS squadron, to say that I am blessed, honored, and humbled beyond measure for this incredible opportunity is without question. I want you to know that I come with an energy and a drive unmatched, with the expectations that we will serve professionally, with honor and integrity, for the uniform we wear is a privilege,” said Lawrence. “We serve in a time of constant change, which requires us to be more focused on readiness than ever before. I’m looking forward to meeting these challenges and opportunities head on and together achieve levels of success never before seen in this wing.”
