Lt. Col. Douglas J. Slater, 431st Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron incoming commander, formally assumed command of the 431st ERS at Kunsan Air Base, Republic of Korea September 28.
오산 공군기지, 대한민국 – 제 431원정정찰대대의 신임 대대장인 더글러스 J. 슬레이터 중령은 9월 28일 군산 공군기지에서 공식적으로 부대의 지휘를 맡았습니다.
The 8th FW operates as a premiere exercise and rotational force bed down location for the U.S. air component forces in the ROK. The 431st was last activated as the 431st Fighter Squadron in 1943 under the Fifth Air Force and has lineal heritage to the 431st Test and Evaluation Squadron.
제8전투비행단은 주한미공군 구성군을 위한 주요 훈련 및 순환 배치 기지 역할을 하고 있습니다. 제 431대대는 1943년 제5공군 소속의 제 431전투비행대대로 창설된 바 있으며, 제 431시혐평가대대의 계보를 잇고 있습니다.

The activation of the ERS reinforces the dedication of the U.S. to peace and security on the Korean Peninsula. MQ-9 operations will support U.S.-Korean priorities in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance across the lndo-Pacific theater enhancing the joint capability to respond to threats and emerging situations while strengthening our alliance.
원정정찰대대의 창설은 한반도의 평화와 안보에 대한 미국의 굳은 의지를 재확인하는 것입니다. MQ-9작전은 인도-태평양 전역에서 정보, 감시, 정찰 분야의 한미 공동 우선순위를 지원하며, 위협과 새로운 상황에 대응할 수 있는 연합 능력을 강화하고 동맹을 더욱 굳건히 할 것입니다.
The MQ-9 is a multi-mission, medium-altitude, long-endurance remotely piloted aircraft designed for dynamic execution targets and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. Beyond defense, these platforms can also support cooperative efforts in humanitarian aid, disaster response, and other regional challenges.
MQ-9은 다목적 임무 수행이 가능한 중고도 장거리 체공 무인 항공기로 긴급표적처리 및 정보, 감시, 정찰 임무를 수행하도록 설계되었습니다. 방위 임무를 넘어, 인도적 지원, 재난 대응 및 기타 지역적 문제 해결을 위한 협력 노력을 지원할 수 있습니다.
