In the Boise River Basin, USACE regulators work closely with partner agencies to evaluate how major infrastructure projects—including reservoir drawdowns and the 6-foot Anderson Ranch Dam Raise—impact downstream wetlands, riverbanks, and tributary stream beds. By conducting rigorous environmental reviews, monitoring water quality, and ensuring proper mitigation for sensitive habitats, the Corps ensures that critical water supply projects do not compromise the ecological integrity of local river systems.
