    U.S. Army Lt. Col. Droesch, commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, receives a briefing from partners at the Bureau of Reclamation during a site visit to Anderson Ranch Dam, Mountain Home, Idaho, Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026. The joint visit was conducted to review ongoing operations and strengthen inter-agency collaboration. USACE is supporting its partners through regulatory review and oversight of the Anderson Ranch Dam Raise. The Bureau of Reclamation and Idaho Water Resource Board project raises the crest of the 456-foot earthen dam by 6 feet. This structural expansion creates approximately 29,000 acre-feet (around 9.4 billion gallons) of new water storage capacity.
