    The Anderson Ranch Dam reservoir is pictured during a joint site visit between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Walla Walla District and the Bureau of Reclamation, Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026. The reservoir's water levels are managed for irrigation, flood control, and recreation. An ongoing Anderson Ranch Dam Raise Project raises the crest of the 456-foot earthen dam by 6 feet. This structural expansion creates approximately 29,000 acre-feet (around 9.4 billion gallons) of new water storage capacity.
