    U.S. and multinational service members assigned to Kosovo Force (KFOR) Regional Command-East and Area Support Group-Balkans attend the opening ceremony for an Extortion 17 memorial ruck march hosted by Task Force Aviation at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, Aug. 9, 2026. The march honored the 38 people killed when Extortion 17, a U.S. Army CH-47D Chinook helicopter, was shot down in Afghanistan Aug. 6, 2011.
