A group of approximately six workers in a technical or industrial facility are gathered around large insulated piping and specialized equipment. Several workers wear blue hard hats and safety glasses, with one wearing a white hard hat, suggesting a supervised technical operation or experiment. The setting appears to be a laboratory or test facility, with visible cryogenic or pressurized system components.

Master Labor Agreement employees, from U.S. Naval Ship Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center’s (SRF-JRMC) Pipefitting Shop (X56), monitor the temperature for a freeze seal at Fleet Activities Yokosuka on July 28. SRF-JRMC is taking another step forward in increasing its organic ship repair capability by introducing the freeze seal technique into its surface ship maintenance. For over 75 years, SRF-JRMC has been the linchpin of U.S. naval operations in the Pacific region by providing intermediate and depot-level repair for the ships of the U.S. 7th Fleet.
