A U.S. Coast Guard Transportable Port Security Boat (TPSB) comes alongside the Esteban Huertas vessel as partner forces render simulated medical aid to a foreign military service member during a joint VBSS exercise as part of PANAMAX 2026 at Panama City, Aug. 12, 2026. The scenario tested the ability of participating forces to coordinate casualty response and provide timely assistance during a maritime security operation while maintaining operational continuity. PANAMAX 2026 scenarios help the defense and public security forces of participating nations improve interoperability, hone their skills during scenarios involving coalition and all-domain operations, forge strong cooperative partnerships, and demonstrate their collective capacity to respond to and deter threats to the region and its critical waterways.
