Three U.S. Coast Guard Transportable Port Security Boats (TPSBs) approach the Esteban Huertas vessel during a joint visit, board, search and seizure (VBSS) exercise as part of PANAMAX 2026 at Panama City, Aug. 12, 2026. The coordinated approach demonstrates the ability of U.S. and partner forces to operate together while strengthening maritime interoperability and regional readiness in support of enhanced maritime security. PANAMAX 2026 scenarios help the defense and public security forces of participating nations improve interoperability, hone their skills during scenarios involving coalition and all-domain operations, forge strong cooperative partnerships, and demonstrate their collective capacity to respond to and deter threats to the region and its critical waterways.
