    The Self Defense Test Ship (SDTS), formerly USS Paul F. Foster (DD 964), cruises past the Channel Islands in Southern California on its way to refuel in San Diego on June 10. The SDTS is homeported at Naval Base Ventura County in Port Hueneme, where Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division operates it as a test platform for naval ship self-protection systems.
