A Soldier assigned to the 3678th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion Headquarters and headquarters, and the 1st Battalion, 65th Infantry Regiment, exits the gas chamber after completing chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) defense training at Camp Santiago Joint Training Center, Salinas, Puerto Rico, July 23, 2026. The exercise allowed Soldiers to experience the effects of a chemical agent in a controlled training environment while validating proper protective mask procedures and reinforcing confidence in their equipment. The training enhanced individual readiness and prepared Soldiers to operate effectively in support of mission requirements.
