Soldiers assigned to the 3678th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion and the 1st Battalion, 65th Infantry Regiment, exit the gas chamber following a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) defense training exercise during Annual Training at Camp Santiago Joint Training Center, Salinas, Puerto Rico, July 23, 2026. The training validated Soldiers’ ability to employ protective masks properly, respond to chemical threats and maintain operational effectiveness in a contaminated environment. The exercise reinforced individual readiness and strengthened the skills required to survive and operate in support of mission requirements.
