An RQ-28A Short Range Reconnaissance (SRR) unmanned aircraft system rests during SRR operator training at Volunteer Training Site-Tullahoma, June 16, 2026. Tennessee Army National Guard Soldiers assigned to 3rd Battalion, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment (ACR) received hands-on instruction on system setup, mission planning, digital map integration, and flight operations. The RQ-28A provides platoon-level reconnaissance, surveillance and target acquisition capabilities, enabling Soldiers to gather real-time information and increase situational awareness beyond their line of sight.
