    278th ACR Conducts Short Range Reconnaissance Drone Training During MBCT Modernization

    Tennessee Army National Guard Sgt. Tristan Murdock assigned to 3rd Battalion, 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment (ACR), prepares to pilot an RQ-28A Short Range Reconnaissance (SRR) unmanned aircraft system during operator training at Volunteer Training Site-Tullahoma, June 16, 2026. Following preflight checks and system startup procedures, Soldiers practiced aircraft control, hover operations and maneuvering techniques while gaining hands-on experience operating the drone platform.
