Lt. Col. James Johnson, commander of the 136th Regional Training Institute, delivers remarks during a retirement ceremony for Command Sgt. Maj. Howard Hewitt held at the Audie Murphy Building on Camp Mabry. Johnson, who served with Hewitt earlier in their careers, was personally selected by the outgoing command sergeant major to speak because of their decades-long professional and personal relationship. Hewitt retired from the 101st Information Operations Battalion, 71st Theater Operations Group, after 26 years of service to the U.S. Army and Texas National Guard.
