Reouven Berdugo, Israel Defense Forces Genomic Laboratory for Casualty Identification director, examines two 15 mL conical tubes in the Armed Forces DNA Identification Laboratory of the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, Nov. 20, 2025. Berdugo and his colleague were training at AFDIL on a new Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNPs) process which is used to identify distant relatives of individuals.
