(Sept 16, 2025) Master Chief Petty Officer Culinary Specialist Melissa Mohammed, assigned to the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5), reads the Chief Petty Officer Creed during a chief pinning ceremony at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott, Sept. 16. The new chiefs belong to the 132nd class of the chief petty officer association. Bataan is currently undergoing regularly scheduled repairs in the General Dynamics National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASSCO) shipyard.
