The U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron "Thunderbirds" practice their act in preparation for the Shaw Air & Space Expo at Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, April 1, 2022. Although the Thunderbirds fly the F-16 Fighting Falcon, the team is made up of pilots with backgrounds in the F-35 Lightning II, F-22 Raptor, F-15 Eagle fighter jets and even the A-10 Thunderbolt II in addition to the F-16.
