U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Rita T. Easmon, demobilization liaison officer, 3-347th Training Support Battalion, 5th Armored Brigade, leads a demonstration on how to conduct a BinaxNOW COVID-19 Self Test to Soldiers from the 2-345th TSBN June 9, 2021, in Ft. Bliss, Texas. COVID testing was one of the many tasks assigned to the 3-347th's Demobilization LNO team. Since August 2020, Easmon and her fellow LNOs facilitated travel, lodging, medical care and administrative processing more than 27,500 U.S. Army Reserve and National Guard returning to their home stations. The team also trained their replacements from the 2-345th TSBN to ensure a smooth transfer of authority and minimize communication and logistical challenges for demobilizing units arriving during the battalions' transitions.
