U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Chantall V. Macias, senior trainer, 3-347th Training Support Battalion, 5th Armored Brigade, gives a safety briefing to service members and government contractors as they prepare to enter a vehicle rollover training simulator Jan. 6, 2021, in Ft. Bliss, Texas. From August 2020 to July 2021, Macias and her team executed 84 training events that emulate what personnel may encounter while supporting various contingency operations across the globe. They prioritized 23 mission essential tasks across 21 two-week training cycles. In addition to egress rollover simulations, these tasks encompassed weapon qualifications, combat tactical care, counter improvised explosive device scenarios, and other techniques and tactics that could potentially save lives downrange.
