patrol boat attached to Commander, Task Force (CTF) 56 performs precision maneuvers with the Royal Navy Hunt-class mine countermeasures vessel HMS Chiddingfold (M37) during a bi-lateral mine countermeasure exercise between the U.K. and U.S. in the Arabian Gulf, Sept. 10. CTF 56 are deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean Sea and Pacific Ocean through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic chokepoints to the free flow of global commerce.
