200910-A-FC661-1071 ARABIAN GULF (Sept. 10, 2020) - A MH-60 Seahawk helicopter, attached to Commander Task Force (CTF) 52 hoists an explosive ordnance disposal technician from the water after preparing a detonation site during a mine countermeasures interoperability exercise in the Arabian Gulf, Sept. 10. CTF 52 is deployed to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean Sea and Pacific Ocean through the Western Indian Ocean and three strategic chokepoints to the free flow of global commerce.
