Senior Master Sgt. Jay Latham, 53rd Weather Reconnaissance Squadron loadmaster and dropsonde operator, prepares dropsondes for the mission into Hurricane Douglas July 26, 2020. The Air Force Reserve Hurricane Hunters flew into the storm, the first hurricane in the Pacific this season, to collect weather data to assist the Central Pacific Hurricane Center with their forecasts.
