Thomas Fitzgerald III, Director of the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System, receives and American flag from Congressman Jerry McNerney, of California’s 9th Congressional District, during a Nov. 8, 2019, groundbreaking ceremony for the VA Central Valley Community Based Outpatient Clinic in French Camp, California.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will build the clinic that will be located next to San Joaquin General Hospital. The project includes construction of the 158,000 square foot clinic, as well as a 150,000 square foot, 120-bed Community Living Center, and an Engineering Logistics Building. All three are scheduled to be completed in 2022.
