Representative Josh Harder, of California's 10th Congressional District, speaks to guests during a Nov. 8, 2019 ceremonial groundbreaking in French Camp, Calif., where the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will build a Veterans Affairs Central Valley Community Based Outpatient Clinic. Harder thanked veterans for their service and praised efforts to improve the healthcare available to American military veterans.
Conveniently located next to San Joaquin General Hospital, the project includes construction of the 158,000 square foot clinic, as well as a 150,000 square foot, 120-bed Community Living Center, and an Engineering Logistics Building. All three are scheduled to be completed in 2022.
The Corps of Engineers has a longstanding strategic partnership with VA, since our historic assistance with major hospital construction projects after World War II. (U.S. Army photo by Ken Wright)
