(Aug. 21, 2019) Equipment Operator 3rd Class Julian Cook, from Dixon, California, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, puts a battery case back on an 11K forklift during a joint inspection of a mount out exercise (MOX) on board Naval Base Ventura County Port Hueneme, California. A MOX demonstrates NMCB-5's ability to deploy a task-tailored air detachment within 48-hours in support of Major Combat Operations response or Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief. The Seabees assigned to NMCB-5 support worldwide combat and contingency campaigns, building advanced bases and performing humanitarian missions.
