190820-N-PG340-1151 PORT HUENEME, Calif. (Aug. 20, 2019) Builder Constructionman Khadijah, from West Palm Beach, Florida, weighs a pallet while Construction Mechanic Constructionman Vincent Crosby, from Joliet, Illinois, guides the 12-K forklift truck driver during a mount out exercise (MOX) on board Naval Base Ventura County Port Hueneme, California. Seabees must weigh the materials and log the calculations to ensure the aircraft will be loaded properly. A MOX demonstrates NMCB-5's ability to deploy a task-tailored air detachment within 48-hours in support of Major Combat Operations response or Humanitarian Aid/Disaster Relief. The Seabees assigned to NMCB-5 support worldwide combat and contingency campaigns, building advanced bases and performing humanitarian missions.
