(Aug. 21, 2019) Steelworker 3rd Class Roslyn Ruiz, from Glendale, California, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, communicates the current status of joint inspection from the embark yard to the mount out control center during a mount out exercise (MOX) on board Naval Base Ventura County Port Hueneme, California. A MOX demonstrates NMCB-5's ability to deploy a task-tailored air detachment within 48-hours in support of Major Combat Operations response or Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief. The Seabees assigned to NMCB-5 support worldwide combat and contingency campaigns, building advanced bases and performing humanitarian missions.
