190820-N-PG340-1234 PORT HUENEME, Calif. (Aug. 20, 2019) Construction Electrician 2nd Class Kayla Collins, the communications operator; and Ensign Yaravi Lopez-Wilson, the watch officer in the Mount Out Control Center (MOCC), both assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, log the current status of equipment from the MOCC during a mount out exercise (MOX) on board Naval Base Ventura County Port Hueneme, California. The MOCC team tracks the status of every evolution, between vehicle washdowns to the ready equipment at the embark yard. A MOX demonstrates NMCB-5's ability to deploy a task-tailored air detachment within 48-hours in support of Major Combat Operations response or Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief. The Seabees assigned to NMCB-5 support worldwide combat and contingency campaigns, building advanced bases and performing humanitarian missions.
