    PORTSMOUTH, Va. (July 12, 2019) – Lanette Donegan, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth’s (NMCP) Environmental Program manager, rinses sediments off of an oyster. Cleaning the pods helps with water flow through the pods for the oysters to filter. The importance of maintaining the oyster pods is so the oysters are cleaning at optimal amounts.
