PORTSMOUTH, Va. (July 12, 2019) – Culinary Specialist 3rd Class Joshua Walters scrubs sediments off of an oyster pod cage. Cleaning the pods helps with water flow through the pods for the oysters to filter. The importance of maintaining the oyster pods is so the oysters are cleaning at optimal amounts.
