180425-N-YM543-154 YOKOSUKA, Japan (April 25, 2018) - Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Christil Palmer, from Seaford, Del., secures the ship's AC for material condition checks in preparation for light off assessment in two weeks. The LOA ensures crewmembers have enough knowledge to safely operate the engineering plant and light off boilers following a routine maintenance period. Blue Ridge and her crew have now entered a final upkeep and training phase in preparation to become fully mission capable for operations.
