180426-N-EC644-003 YOKOSUKA, Japan (April 26, 2018) Senior Chief Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) Jonard Sygaco gives a motivational speech to Air Department Sailors in preparation for night flight deck drills aboard the Navy's forward-deployed aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Sailors set up an emergency crash barricade and demonstrated aircraft firefighting techniques during the drills. Ronald Reagan is the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 5, providing a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
