171025-N-PM250-0472 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 25, 2017) Armored vehicles idle on a beach after offloading from landing craft air cushion (LCAC) 54, attached to Assault Craft Unit 4. LCAC 54 is on board the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44) in support of exercise Bold Alligator 2017 (#BA17). Improving Navy-Marine Corps amphibious core competencies along with coalition, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Allied and partner nations is a necessary investment in the current and future readiness of our forces.
