171021-N-PM250-0704 ATLANTIC OCEAN (Oct. 21, 2017) Machinist's Mate Chief Russell Witowski, the craftmaster of landing craft air cushion (LCAC) 54, attached to Assault Craft Unit 4, prepares LCAC 54 to depart from well deck of the amphibious dock landing ship USS Gunston Hall (LSD-44). LCAC 54 is on board Gunston Hall in support of exercise Bold Alligator 2017 (#BA17). Improving Navy-Marine Corps amphibious core competencies along with coalition, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Allied and partner nations is a necessary investment in the current and future readiness of our forces.
