ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 11, 2017) Midshipman 3rd Class Maryrose Stone polishes a torpedo tube aboard the Ohio-class ballistic-missile submarine USS Tennessee (SSBN 734). Stone is a member of the Naval ROTC program, studying chemical engineering at the University of Rochester. She is aboard Tennessee as part of her summer cruise training to learn about the Navy and help her choose a career path as a naval officer after she graduates. Tennessee is one of 6 ballistic-missile submarines stationed at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, Ga., providing the most survivable leg of the strategic deterrence triad for the U.S. (U.S. Navy photo by Lt.
