170815-N-FA490-447 PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 15, 2017) An MH-60S Seahawk, assigned to the Indians of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 6, participates in a vertical replenishment-at-sea between the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) and dry cargo/ammunition ship USNS Matthew Perry (T-AKE 9). Theodore Roosevelt is underway conducting a composite training unit exercise (COMPTUEX) with the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group (TRCSG) in preparation for an upcoming deployment. COMPTUEX tests a carrier strike group’s mission-readiness and ability to perform as an integrated unit through simulated real-world scenarios.
