ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 14, 2016) Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael Christensen operates a navy firefighter’s thermal imager before entering a space during a general quarters drill aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55). Christensen serves as a machinery repairman aboard Stout and maintains all mechanical systems on board. Stout, deployed as part of the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group, is supporting maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
