ARABIAN GULF (Oct. 14, 2016) Seaman Mary Sang, from San Jose, Calif., verifies serial numbers on a jet engine in the jet shop of the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) (Ike). Sang serves aboard Ike as an aviation machinist's mate and helps inspect, repair and maintain aircraft propulsion systems. Ike and its Carrier Strike Group are deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
